Lothlórien - MTG Playmat (Forest)

I created a series of paintings for MTG playmats in collaboration with the Holden Print House depicting 5 scenes from The Lord of The Rings, one for each "land". This scene depicts the Fellowship entering Lothlórien for the first time. It was great fun and I am proud of the end result, even if it doesn't resonate with people. I have always wanted to do something base on The Lord of the Rings but always felt unsure and that it was something that I better not tackle with...However, I soon understood that artists have interpreted the text in many different ways and that it is OK to have your own personal view about it.
